Mavericks vs. Reunited

On Saturday, January 22, 2000, Country Club Lanes hosted 4 ICBC clubs.   JUBP, ZODIACS, MAVERICKS, & REUNITED. The Mavericks Bowling Club record up to this point was 5-2.   Both losses coming on the road against the Terminators & Challengers.   Mavericks Bowling Club without a win on the road comes to Country Club looking for its 1st one against Reunited. Country Club's lane condition seems to be a Pro style shot, consisting of 30 to 35 feet of oil, with medium backends.   Based on this writer’s knowledge of the game, the margin of error was 3 boards inside and 5 boards outside.   In other words, anyone bowling inside, using boards 8-20, was going to have a hard time because the ball was slow breaking back into the pocket unless you got it outside quickly.   Country Club’s lane condition for this day was an outside shot. The Mavericks won the match game - plus 1176 pins.   Leading the way to victory was team # 3, posting this year’s highest team scores, consist of James (643) West, Felicia (599) Thorpe, Trina (598) Roberts, Robert (688) Briggs, and Kenny (720) Lowe.   Shooting game totals of 1052, 1072, 1124 for a very fine 3248 set.   This is a 216.5 average per bowler.   This was an awesome site to watch.   Hats off! Also adding to the club’s win and leading the way pins wise was Karla Pereira, (190-215-244) for a 629 set and William McNeil, games of 269-255-212 for a 736 set. Mavericks Bowling Club now is looking forward to its next match game.   A rematch with the Terminators.   This club won the first match running away.
